Ascent Tea is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We strive to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards.

What We Do

We have taken the following steps to ensure our website is accessible:

All text meets WCAG AA contrast ratios (at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text).
All images include descriptive alternative text for screen readers.
All form fields have accessible labels so assistive technology can identify them.
The site is fully navigable by keyboard, including a skip navigation link to bypass repeated content.
Auto-playing video includes a visible pause/play control.
Dynamic content changes (such as adding items to your cart) are announced to screen readers via ARIA live regions.
Page structure uses proper heading hierarchy and ARIA landmarks.
The site works well at 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling or clipped content.

Ongoing Effort

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We regularly audit our site using automated tools (including Lighthouse and axe-core) and manual testing with screen readers and keyboard-only navigation. When we add new features or content, we review them for accessibility before launch.
